Before I met Steve Myers, I had no web presence, no desire to really have a web presence, and also had no working knowledge of Twitter, Facebook (properly) and Linkedin.
I then attended a Social Media for business training course provided by Steve Myers and Paul King of WSI Newcastle and learned a hell of a lot about the benefits of Social Media in business and how to use the opportunities out there.
Mr Myers then took me under his wing having decided that my little (one page, poor copy) website was not up to scratch, he got to work on making mine super cool, sleek, modern, professional and ‘dead class’.
And dead class is what it is. I am no longer embarrassed if people check out KP Simpson online before deciding they would like me to act for them. As I know that they cannot fail to be impressed by the current content and what is going to be happening behind the scenes.
Steve Paul Myers and Monkey Socks Design are definitely ‘DEAD CLASS‘, brilliant and highly professional that provide a high quality of service and I would recommend them to anyone!

“On behalf of all the Committee at the Variety, Children’s Chairty, we would like to say a huge thank you for coming to our meeting and explaining the benefits and the workings of social media.
As you could see, there were many people in the room who were not familiar with how social media worked, and needed to know how and more importantly, why, it is so important in these modern times.
You both did an excellent job and we are now using social media a lot more effectively for the charity, which means that the sick, disabled and disadvantaged children that it helps in the Northern Region will benefit too.
You are clearly a very knowledgeable team at Monkey Socks Design and WSI Newcastle and we will definitely be recommending your services to anyone requiring expertise in the social media field in the future.”
Tony Thornton – Variety, the Children’s Charity (Northern Region)
“During a weekend in Barnsley with Becky’s (my partner) grandparents we were all sitting looking through some old photos albums and came across some pictures of Becky’s Dad and Uncle which her Nan and Grandad had drawn when they were young.
All of the way home we were chatting about how nice it would be to have one of Emma (our daughter) and upon our return Becky began searching the web, after a couple of hours and her beckoning me to the kitchen to see what I thought of this site. I remembered that Steve Myers was an artist and quickly Googled his name, showed Becky the site and his artwork, and we agreed he was the man to ask.
We gave Steve some images and also asked for some caricatures of Emma. We are absolutely stunned with the results and so happy with the end product. Emma loves the caricature and points to it and says it’s just like she’s in the Micky Mouse Club House.
Photos are great but there is something very special about a drawing. I don’t know what it is but they just seem to make me smile that little bit more than a good photo.
Steve has a talent, and to use one of his own phrases ‘He’s dead class like!!!’“

“Our website looks fantastic, Steve knew what we wanted to achieve from our website and incorporated this while designing and building Sara’s Hope Foundation website in January 2011. His professional advice and customer service was excellent and we have received lots of positive feedback from our supporters, both young and old. Steve created a modern look website that we are 100% happy with. To this day he still continues to support us by offering professional advice if and when we are stuck! I would highly recommend Steve for your business needs.”
Carol Bennett – Sara’s Hope Foundation

“This man LISTENS, he GETS IT, he DOES what he says he’ll do WHEN he says he’ll do it. He is a RARE GEM. Be AWESOME. LIKE his page – (and then ask him really sweetly to design your website).”

From on and offline graphic design to web development and even social media training, Steve is multi-skilled, always eager to learn new things and up for a new challenge.”

“During his time at Northumbria Steve displayed a great enthusiasm and aptitude to his work. He delivered many well-crafted presentations and projects and was always willing to go the extra distance to improve on his work. He responded well to feedback and was able to work equally well as a team player in group projects or on his own individual projects. He was always willing to contribute to group discussions and was well liked by his peers and staff alike. Consequently I have no reservations about recommending Steve and wish him good luck in his chosen career path.”
